Show The Result Before You Sell It

The Proof-Before-Pitch Test

Plus a cheaper AI workhorse and a sharper SEO priority check.

Hey humans!

Most companies ask buyers to believe a paragraph before they let them experience the useful part.

That is backwards. A claim creates doubt. A small result creates evidence.

Today we are turning that into a practical offer test. Chuck has already hidden the adjective drawer, so we should be fine.

Quickies:

  • Give cheap AI models the workhorse jobs
  • Fix SEO in the order buyers feel it

📋 Mini-Playbook: The Proof-Before-Pitch Test

[FOR YOUR TEAM]

Use this on one landing page, proposal, or sales asset. The goal is to replace one promise with something the buyer can inspect.

⚡ QUICKIES

➡️ Use a cheaper model as the workhorse

A useful model-routing pattern is emerging: let the strongest model set the plan and review the output, then hand repetitive implementation to a cheaper model.

The transcript’s practical examples were editing an existing design system and analysing structured data. It was weaker when asked to invent polished design from scratch or handle fact-checking. Do not route by hype. Split your queue into architect, workhorse, and verifier jobs, then compare total cost per accepted output.

➡️ Search intent still comes before SEO decoration

A survey of 131 SEO professionals put intent match first, backlinks second, and content quality third. Original research and first-party data scored well; thin AI content scored poorly.

This is a perception survey, not Google’s ranking formula. Still, it gives you a sensible repair order: satisfy the searcher’s job, add evidence competitors do not have, then earn relevant authority. Rewriting a meta description will not rescue the wrong page.

Good Traffic. Poor Conversion. Find the Leak.

Good traffic still leaks when the page makes buyers work to understand the offer. Scale on Steroids fixes that lead-flow layer: clearer offers, stronger proof, and fewer poor-fit enquiries.
If prospects need a call just to understand what you do, the page is passing its job to your calendar. We can inspect that path with you.

🛠️ THIS WEEK’S AI ARSENAL

OpenSEO

An open-source SEO workspace for keyword research, rank tracking, backlinks, site audits, and AI visibility. Its useful angle is the MCP connection: an agent can work from live SEO and Search Console data instead of writing strategy from guesses. Start with one slipping page, not a site-wide report.

Callio

Callio calls US businesses found on Google Maps, handles simple phone menus and hold time, then returns a summary and transcript. For a local operator, that can turn tedious verification into a short task: confirm availability, opening hours, or a price before updating a location page. Review the request before the call and verify anything consequential.

📋 Mini-Playbook: The Proof-Before-Pitch Test

The principle is old and still uncomfortable: a working demonstration can do more selling than another page of claims.

Here is the deployable version.

Step 1: Pick one belief blocking the sale

Write the sentence your prospect doubts most. “This will find useful SEO gaps” is a belief. “We are experts” is fog.

Step 2: Build the smallest proof experience

Turn that belief into something they can inspect: a three-page audit, one processed data sample, a calculator using their numbers, a before-and-after teardown, or a short sandbox with their input.

Step 3: Make the proof requested, not random

Do not spray free work at everyone. Ask the prospect to choose a page, submit a file, or name the bottleneck. That tiny act confirms interest and gives the demonstration context.

Step 4: Put the result before the sales call

Place the proof beside the main claim. Show the input, the change, and what the buyer should notice. Keep one next action underneath it.

Step 5: Run a clean comparison

Test the proof-first version against the current explanation-first version with the same audience and offer. Watch qualified applications, booked-call show rate, and sales conversion. More clicks with worse-fit leads is a failed test.

Use this one-line build brief:
Buyer doubts [claim], so we will let them submit [input] and receive [small result] before asking them to [next step]. We will judge it by
[qualified conversion metric].

🎯 NEXT STEPS:

  • Write down the biggest claim on your current sales page.
  • Replace one paragraph with a small proof experience.
  • Run both versions until you can compare qualified conversions.

Stay weird,

Vaibhav

P.S. A sample does not need to give away the whole product. It only needs to make the next promise easier to believe.
